What is Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor?
Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor is a software that can run on PS3 and extract SACD data from the console's optical drive. It can also run on a PC with a network connection to a PS3. It can output SACD data as a decrypted ISO file or as individual tracks in DSDIFF (DFF) or DSF format. It can also create a DSD disc from the extracted tracks.
Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor is based on sacd-ripper, an open source project that was developed by Mr Wicked and other contributors. You can find more information about sacd-ripper on its homepage.
What do you need to use Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor?
To use Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor, you will need the following:
A SACD compatible PS3 with firmware 3.55 or lower. You cannot use Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor on PS3 with higher firmware versions.
A USB storage device formatted as FAT32 with enough space to store the extracted SACD data.
A SACD disc that you want to rip.
A PC with a network connection to the PS3 (optional).

How to use Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor?
There are two ways to use Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor: on PS3 or on PC. Here are the steps for each method:
On PS3
Copy the sacd_extract.pkg file from the Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor package to the root of your USB storage device.
Connect your USB storage device to your PS3 and turn on the console.
Navigate to Game > Install Package Files and select sacd_extract.pkg to install it.
Navigate to Game > sacd_extract and launch it.
Insert your SACD disc into the PS3's optical drive and wait for it to be recognized.
Select the output mode you want: ISO, DSDIFF, DSF or DSD Disc.
Select the output folder on your USB storage device where you want to save the extracted SACD data.
Select Start and wait for the extraction process to finish.
Eject your SACD disc and USB storage device from the PS3.
On PC
Copy the sacd_extract.exe file from the Scarletbook-SACD-Extractor package to your PC.
Connect your PS3 and your PC to the same network.
Turn on your PS3 and launch sacd_extract from Game > sacd_extract.
Insert your SACD disc into the PS3's optical drive and wait for it to be recognized.
Open a command prompt on your PC and navigate to the folder where you copied sacd_extract.exe.
Type sacd_extract -i [PS3 IP address] -m [output mode] -o [output folder] and press Enter. Replace [PS3 IP address] with the IP address of your PS3, which you can find in Settings > System Settings > System Information.
